The Lakers visit the New York Knicks in Friday NBA betting in a match that can be watched on ESPN.

The Lakers competed last evening in Boston but Los Angeles has done fairly well in back-to-backs this year plus they are favored in this contest. You can make an NBA bet on this game at the sportsbook.

Knicks are Slipping
The Knicks were beaten on Wednesday evening at home by the Clippers in a match that wasn’t even as near as the 116-108 score would show. The Knicks were down by 20 in the 3rd quarter and never really in the game. The loss infuriated head coach Mike D’Antoni who ripped into his team after the game. It was the most upset that D’Antoni has been about his team’s play all year. He said that the team lacked the commitment and heart of a playoff team. The Knicks are still rumored to be attempting to trade for Denver’s Carmelo Anthony and after Wednesday’s game there is no question they might use him. The merely competitor that really revealed up was Amar’e Stoudemire who had 23 points on 10 of 13 shooting. He informed the team before the game they had to concentrate but not many folks paid recognition. New York has now lost 11 of their last 16 but they’re still in sixth place in the Eastern Conference. If the Knicks lose this game they would drop to .500. Stoudemire acknowledges that the Knicks have carried out nothing yet but a few of the other younger players on the team have not gotten the message.

Lakers Better on the Road
If you are going to make an NBA bet on the Lakers you want to do it when they’re on the road. They in fact have a profitable record against the spread on the road whilst they’re losing vs. the number at home. And despite the fact that this is a back-to-back, the Lakers are 3-1-1 ATS in their previous five games competing on no rest. The Lakers might have success against a New York team that is just 1-5-1 ATS in their previous 7 vs. the Western Conference. And it is worth noting that the Lakers are 5-2 against pro basketball betting point spread in the previous 7 meetings in New York.
